What inspired you to join MeWe?
As a G+ Refugee, I was looking for a place where I could continue or rebuild my groups. I researched many platforms, but wanted to avoid the big tech giants. So I came across MeWe. The concept and approach convinced me. I tried it and stayed, now for 7 years.
What keeps you active on the MeWe app?
My groups and the exchange with people from all over the world, helping other people to navigate the plattform. I like the variety and the time I spend here.

Participation, feel-good place, nice people

Music, Gifs, Information regarding MeWe
What do you love most about MeWe compared to other platforms?
My privacy, no manipulated feed, no ads, the diversity of groups, my data will not be sold – simply the complete package
Who or what inspires the content you share, and why?
Music, because music is my passion and I like to share music with other music nerds, Memes for a good laugh, Gifs because I love them and Information regarding MeWe to keep people informed about what´s going on
What’s one tip or trick you’d give to someone who’s just getting started on MeWe?
Join groups that interest you, meet people there, and make contacts. If necessary, join 100 groups until you find the right one. I did it, too. Probably more than 100… Connections are key. Never simply wait “for something to happen,” as people are used to doing on Facebook because they’re presented with a pre-conceived feed. Take action yourself – you are the master and creator of your feed. And: poke the buttons…Try how the app works.
What’s a fun fact about you that most of your friends on MeWe might not have guessed?
That’s difficult, most people have known me long enough. I don’t like watching series, I like movies. And although my taste in music is very broad (depending on my mood it goes from Abba to Metallica) – I don’t like jazz.

If you can change one thing about MeWe what would it be?
Limiting notifications: theoretically possible, but in practice, it doesn’t work. I get a notification for EVERY emoji.
